Fire Nation
Currently the biggest nation out of all 4
Abilities:
๐ฅFire-bending
๐ฅ Lightning-bending (Lightening generation and redirection)
๐ฅCombustion-bending
Source: Sun
Symbol/Animal: Dragon
Strong points:
Warm climate: A firebender is stronger and more controlled when they are able to pull energy from heat
Equator: A firebenderโs potential is 10 fold the closer they are to the equator, even more so during the summer.
Weak points:
Extreme cold: Cold temperatures reduce a firebenderโs ability
Full Moon: During this moment the waterbenderโs strengths 10 fold which in return weakens firebenders
Being underwater/ caught in the rain
Solar Eclipse: The sun is the source of energy for firebenders so their bending abilities would be completely gone during an eclipse and only lessen a bit during the night.
๐ฅ The only element where a bender is able to generate lightning or fire themselves with no source.
๐ฅ Firebenders are the most volatile and "hot-headed" out of all of the elements.
๐ฅ Firebenders are considered the "wealthiest" with the many business ventures and companies they have
๐ฅ Firebenders are usually born in summer, the season also bringing a surplus of power.
Water Tribe
Currently the second biggest nation out of all 4
Abilities:
๐ Water-bending
๐ Cyrokinesis
๐ Blood-bending
๐ Healing
Source: The Moon & Ocean
Symbol/Animal: Koi Fish
Strong points:
Near the ocean or where there is a lot of water to use as a source
Full moon: Due to the moon having great affect on waves and being a teacher of waterbenders, when the moon is at its greatest potential so are those of the water tribe.
Weak points:
Lunar eclipse: Due to the moon being a great source of energy for waterbenders when it is covered during an eclipse their bending abilities would be completely gone.
Binding: Waterbending is very dependent on movement especially through oneโs arms so if they are bound by their arms or the chi is blocked in their arms they are a lot weaker.
Lack of external water: Waterbenders depend heavily on outside sources for water so if driven to dry areas with little to no water they are in a weaker state.
๐ Waterbenders are very known for their healing technique.
๐ Power is connected to present emotional state.
๐ Their defense most often becomes their offense, attacks flowing through their body for impact.
๐ Waterbenders are usually born in winter, the season also bringing a surplus of power.
Earth Kingdom
Currently third biggest nation out of all 4
Abilities:
๐ Earth-bending
๐ Lava-bending
๐ Metal-bending
๐ Sand-bending
Source: Earth
Symbol/Animal: Badgermoles
Strong points:
Source: Since their source is the earth, it is very hard for them to be separated from it.
Land: The Earth Kingdom has run over the most land out of all nations even though their number of benders are lower than others.
Camouflage: Earthbenders are the best at the guerrilla way of fighting due to their ability to meld into the background and literally become "one with nature"
Weak points:
Lower body kept from making contact with the ground (Ex: Trapping an earth bender in a metallic room to separate them with any contact with the earth)
Binding of lower body, like water benders they rely on body parts but this time itโs of the lower region. They will be in a weaker state if they are unable to move kinetic energy through for precise bending.
๐ The least accepting to new technological changes.
๐ Relies on the sense of touch the most out of all senses.
๐ The "introverts" of all four nations.
๐ Earthbenders are usually born in spring, the season also bringing a surplus of power.
Air Nomads
Currently smallest nation out of all 4
Abilities:
๐จ Air-bending
๐จ Flight
๐จ Spiritual Projection
๐จ Enhanced agility / speed
Source: Air
Symbol/Animal: Flying Bison
Strong points:
Copious amounts of air to use as a source.
Spirits: Their strong connection to the spirit world, sways the spirits to stick by their side more so than the other nations.
Weak points:
Passive: Because of their feelings towards violence, they are mostly taught defense which leaves them at a deficit of offense.
Underground: Gas levels rise the deeper underground one goes which leaves no room for air, this would make an airbender weak not only in the element but physically.
Materialism: Favoring materialism over spirituality can weaken an airbender's prowess.
๐จ Suffered the most deaths during the war.
๐จ Holds the closest connection to the spirit world.
๐จ Deemed the most passive out of all the nations.
๐จFar behind in technology but not as much as the earth kingdom.
๐จ Airbenders are usually born in autumn, the season also bringing a surplus of power.
FAQ
Can I be the avatar? / Does the avatar exist?
The Avatar does indeed exist, BUT the avatar is the mod account. Who will be acting as the ruler over what is known as the treaty land. So no you are not able to personally be the avatar.
Can my parents be from two different elements?
Yes they can! But you will only be able to bend one element and will be weaker than those who are born purely of that element. You will also face discrimination for this.
Can I live elsewhere than my respective nation? (Earth bender living in the fire nation)
While this is possible it is very dangerous! Although there is a treaty there is nothing stopping the nations from hating one another and since you are not on treaty land you are susceptible to attacks. Meaning you will have to hide that you are not an outside bender. (EX: Hiding that you are an earth-bender, by pretending not to be able to bend)
is the current setting completely peaceful?
Despite the treaty, there's still negative feelings between all nations though they don't manifest as a war any longer but as people from different factions disliking one another and picking on those that are different and weaker from them. This applies to kids with parents that bend different elements or people that are not benders at all.
If I am a non-bender where will I live?
As a non-bender, you will still belong to one of the 4 nations!
Can I be an idol/trainee/actor even though there is no entertainment industry listed?
Yes you are able to be an idol, you'll just be listed under freelance with what you do. You have free reign over the name of your company and if you want a manager or not!
Can I be in the royal family?
No you cannot, those in the royal family are NPC.
Can I be in the royal court?
You are able to be a general, maid servant, or even an ex concubine. Bastards who are not currently part of the family are also able to be roleplayed!
Can I be a concubine?
Mentioned before, only an ex concubine is allowed. Also only women are able to be concubines, since they were used for men of status to have multiple children.
How many kids can I have?
If you are single parent/ ex concubine, you are only able to have one child which will be NPC. If you are in a plotted marriage, you are able to have up to two children which will also be NPC.
Where are the jobs located?
The jobs that are listed (jobs on the court is an exception, they will take place in their respective nation) are on the treaty land. Check our locations here
What kind of weapons are allowed?
There are absolutely no guns. This means snipers, pistols, ARs, and on do not exist in this world. Swords are the most commonly used along with of course bending, daggers, knives, bow and arrows, axes, etc.
Will surnames / family names exist in this setting?
In the original AU, surnames are not a thing, nor would those be a normal feature of the sort of pseudo-medieval oriental world that Avatar is set in. For example, Toph does have a sort-of surname ('Bei Fong') because she comes from a noble, albeit not royal family whereas Zuko, Ozai and Azula are true royalty and are thusly identified by their rank and station. Sokka and Kattara come from a peasant village and are therefore unlikely to have or even need a surname. Aang has no surname but would probably identify himself by his status as a Buddhist monk. in this case we will go for no surname as well and for that you have to set your mewe account this way:

Spirit Warriors
The Spirit Warriors is a group of 8 benders, who were taken in by the avatar at a very young age. All were orphaned from reasons of abandonment ranging from the effect of war to the inability to be taken care of by family. There are 2 benders of each element in this group. Their duty is to keep the living world separate and protected from evil spirits, while also keeping peace in the spirit world.
IC birth year range: (1995-2000)
They were all picked up at ages 3-10
Formerly 9 members, but now at 8 - This will not chnage meaning your muse cannot leave the spirit warriors or be a former member
They are unable to hold any other job than being a spirit warrior, but they are able to go to school!
They will all live together with the avatar.
There is a current dating ban for all members. (This can be sneaked around)
The avatar shields them from the outside world, mostly the city life so they are able to keep a good focus on training and doing their jobs.

Land description
Earth kingdom
Spanning an entire continent as well as several subsidiary islands, it is the largest and most populated sovereignty in the world and encompasses much of the eastern hemisphere. The geography of the Earth Kingdom varies tremendously due to its immense size. The northwestern areas are mountainous and covered in dense coniferous forests with the only known settlement in the area being a merchant town, while the western coast harbors a warmer climate and many deciduous forests. The inland west is also home to several swamps and the arid Great Divide, while the center of the Kingdom is comprised of the enormous Si Wong Desert. The southwestern coast is covered with lush forests โ however, a rain shadow leaves the Kolau Mountains and areas to the southwest as arid mountain ranges with sparse grasslands โ the only major settlement in the area being Omashu. The southern coast is a lush area filled with rivers and forested areas, populated by wealthy towns like Gaoling; north, over the mountains, the land turns to sparsely populated plains which once again meld into the Si Wong Desert. The only known settlement in the northeast is Ba Sing Se.
Rock and stone turn out to be the Earth Kingdom's greatest natural resources. As such, they are widely used and manipulated to many ends, from tools to entire metropolises. While the Earth Kingdom as a whole does not make use of fossil fuels nearly as much as the industrialized Fire Nation, coal is mined in certain villages for fuel.
Architecture, farming, carpentry, hunting, and mining are among many significant Earth Kingdom industries. Its citizens have managed to develop an advanced trade and commerce system so that almost all may benefit. From the complex sewage and postal system of Omashu, to the Ba Sing Se metro transit stations, and various inventions and their inventors, all serve as demonstration of the Earth Kingdom's surprisingly sophisticated society.
An abundance of fresh vegetables grows in the rich fertile soil, and fruit and nut trees are plentiful. Animals thrive in the lush forest and farmlands, providing beef and poultry to add to the fruits and vegetables.
Citizens of the Earth Kingdom tend to have black or brown hair; green, brown, or gray eyes. Traditional colors worn throughout the kingdom range from vibrant greens and yellows to more muted beiges and browns. The people usually style their hair comfortably for work or elaborately for striking impressions.
Fire nation
The nation is located along the planet's equator in the western hemisphere and is composed of several islands. Its capital is simply known as the Fire Nation Capital. The Fire Nation is the second-largest nation in terms of area, following the Earth Kingdom, while its economy is the most powerful in the world. The Fire Nation is located on an archipelago of tropical volcanic islands, many still active, that give the nation an unlimited source of power. Because of a warm and humid climate, the Fire Nation is home to a variety of native flora and fauna, though the main islands largely consist of rough, grassy plains bearing little wildlife.
The Fire Nation employs highly skilled metalworkers and blacksmiths who make use of iron and other metals to engender their fortresses and warships. Furthermore, the Fire Nation has profited greatly from the volcanic soil that dominates its islands, as it is very fertile. As result, the country also possesses a flourishing agriculture.
Being the second largest nation, there is minor degree of physical diversity among members of the Fire Nation. Its citizens tend to have black or brown hair, often styled in a bun or ponytail. Their eyes are usually golden, amber, or bronze in color, with brown and gray as rare alternatives. Traditional colors worn throughout the nation range from vibrant reds and yellows to more muted browns and black. Members of the army wear red, black, and brown uniforms.
Water tribes
The Water Tribe is a collective term for the nation of people who practice the art of waterbending. It is one of the original four nations and its citizens primarily inhabit the northern and southernmost regions of the globe, near both poles. Many people of Water Tribe ethnicity also live in the Treaty Land and there is a small community of waterbenders that populate the Foggy Swamp in the Earth Kingdom.
Inhabiting frozen poles near the seas, the Water Tribes are dependent on the oceans for a majority of their natural resources as well as the bounty of the frozen tundra. Sea prunes are a favorite, while giant sea crabs are considered a delicious delicacy to those in the Northern Sea. Sea squid is a popular food that can be made into a variety of things, including sea squid soup. Seaweed can be used to make seaweed bread, seaweed soup, or seaweed sprinkles to top seaweed cookies. When traveling, blubbered seal jerky is a common snack to take along. Skins from seals are used to create tents in the Southern Water Tribe. Pelts from polar bears and other furry animals are used as clothing and to cover barren surfaces. Naturally, hunters and fishermen of the Water Tribes are some of the best in the world in their field. The Foggy Swamp Tribe uses the plants and fauna in their swamp to meet their needs; they eat small game, such as possum chicken, fish, and giant insects.
Ethnically homogeneous, members of each tribe typically have blue or gray eyes, light or deep brown hair, sometimes black. Water Tribe clothing is usually a set of blue anorak and trousers lined and trimmed with white fur, accompanied by mittens and mukluks. Men may wear their hair long and half-up or in short ponytails, also known as "warrior's wolf tails". Women plait and braid their hair in various styles, sometimes with accent beads, and many sport "hair loopies" in various styles. In the Southern Water Tribe, women have been shown wearing their hair back in a bun with a decorative band. In the Northern Water Tribe, males appear to wear a darker blue than those of the Southern Water Tribe, and royalty often wear purple. In the Foggy Swamp Tribe, inhabitants wear simple leaf-hats, loincloths, and wristbands, all in green, reflecting the color of the water and their surroundings, and sometimes they also use wooden armor.
Air nomads
Air Nomads is the collective term for the monastic order of men and women who practice the discipline of airbending. One of the four major nations, the Air Nomads were wanderers by definition, but had four air temples, one at each corner of the globe, hidden away atop mountain ranges and under cliffs, in the northern Earth Kingdom and on three remote islands. The Air Nomads made up the smallest of the four nations in the world. They had a small economy, based entirely on limited agriculture.
The Air Nomads were a tranquil people who endeavored to preserve the environment around them. Any industry that they invested in, such as farming or gardening, was sustainable and powered naturally, so as to not disturb the balance of nature. Due to the non-materialistic culture of the nation, the Air Nomads did not excavate the rich mineral deposits filled with iron and crystals that lay beneath their grounds. Believing all life to be precious, the Air Nomads were strict vegetarians, though they were not against eating eggs or dairy products. The nomads were also known for making sweet dishes such as pies, which were sold for one silver piece each with all profits given to charity.
The Air Nomads wear yellow, orange, and brown clothing. Young airbenders wore orange shawls over long-sleeved yellow shirts, an orange sash, double-layered pants with brown underneath and a loose yellow layer on top, and high boots that reach just below the knees. Older monks wore long robes in shades of yellow and orange, as well as wooden necklaces with the Air Nomad insignia carved into it. Most Air Nomads have gray or brown eyes and a light complexion. Young boys to be trained as monks have shaven heads, while monk elders grow beards and mustaches; they had the longest and most prominent facial hair of any nation. Female airbenders do not fully shave their heads, just their foreheads so their arrow is visible. Shaving one's head is voluntary, though was encouraged so the airbender could feel the air around them.
